OPPO is getting set to release the OPPO Find X6 and Find X6 Pro in China and the global markets soon. According to a leak by DCS on Weibo, the OPPO Find X6 Pro will feature a 120X Zoom. This means the phone will be among the first few phones to have zoom capabilities in 2023. Only the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Ultra support up to 100x digital zoom.

Now, we don’t know if this is an optical zoom, hybrid zoom, or digital zoom. But given the fact that smartphone companies have small spaces to work with when it comes to phone camera sensors our best bet is that this will be a digital zoom. This means that the Find X6 Pro 120X zoom will be software base and not hardware based.

Although 120x zoom hardware will be super brilliant, a digital zoom when properly done will also give users good results. The smartphone is also coming with a brand-new camera system with newer camera sensors and features.

While the triple rear cameras will consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 1-inch type sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor as an ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope lens that supports 3x optical zoom and has an OIS stabilization feature.

The 3x periscope lens of the Find X6 Pro will also be supporting a 120X digital zoom. According to the report, the zoom capabilities of the Find X6 Pro will be better than that of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. We’ll have to wait for real-life tests and comparisons to confirm this claim though.

Lastly, the leak also included some features of the display of the OPPO Find X6 Pro. The tipster claimed that OPPO has included a developer option on the device and has added a high-frequency dimming interface. The dimming frequency is said to be set at 1440Hz and once enabled is expected that the screen of the phone will automatically enter the high-frequency dimming mode at low brightness, and the power consumption will increase.
