OPPO just added the Oppo Reno5 A to its growing Reno series. This phone has debuted in Japan and might be coming to other regions soon.
The Reno 5 A however share some similarities with the Reno5 5G. But it come with lower display quality, smaller battery and slower charging speed.

Oppo Reno5 A Brief Specs
Reno5 A come with 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with 90HZ refresh rate and a 1080p+ resolution. Upfront it has a 16MP camera for selfie instead of the 32MP on the Reno5 5G.
At the rear, it has 64MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. Its fingerprint scanner is placed at the back unlike the under display fingerprint scanner seen on the Reno5 5G.

Under the hood of the Reno5 A is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. This makes the phone a premium mid-range smartphone.
The available 4,000mAh battery only support fast charging up to 18W. In contrast, the Reno5 5G come with 65W fast charging. You get 6GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card.

In the software department, you have Android 11 with ColorOS 11 UI on top. This phone is IP68 water and dust resistant.
So far, there are two colors revealed; black and blue colors. There is no know pricing and availability of this device. Hopefully, we’ll get to see the phone in Europe and other regions. Till then, stay tuned for more updates.
