Qualcomm is gearing up to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip. This chip will be the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and will likely be built on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. Going by the rumours, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip might be unveiled by May.

According to some sources, the first phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip might be launched in late June or early July. But the name of the first Android phone that will feature this chip is yet to be known.
The first device to be powered by this chipset will first debut in China and some say it might be the incoming OnePlus 10 Ultra. However, the OnePlus 10 Ultra has been linked to the Dimensity 9000 chip from MediaTek. So, it’s still not clear if OnePlus will power that phone with the incoming 8 Gen 1+ chip.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip is expected to have better performance in terms of speed and power efficiency when compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. For now, all these are speculations but we expect to see more updates in the coming weeks.
