Price

Both Xiaomi and Realme are known for making budget friendly devices. However, in this price category, the Realme 8 Pro is more price friendly. The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage will cost you $260. And to buy the highest variant of 8GB + 128GB internal storage, you’ll spend a little below $300. Making the Realme 8 Pro one of the most affordable 108 MP camera device available.

The Xiaomi Poco F3 on the other hand is more expensive. It will cost you $350 for the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. There is also an 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant that will cost you a little more. Also take note that the Poco F3 doesn’t have an expandable space for memory card.

Overall, the Realme 8 Pro is cheaper. But does it offer better value? Let’s find out below.

Camera

The Poco F3 has triple rear cameras. 48MP primary camera + 8 MP ultrawide lens and 5 MP macro. While the selfie camera is 20 MP. Comparing it to the Realme 8 Pro cameras, the Realme 8 Pro 108MP is not a sham. It is better than that of Poco F3. Infact, camera on the Poco F3 is mediocre.

So yeah, if you are a camera freak, I’d advice you to buy the Realme 8 Pro because the 108MP actually does justice to photography both in day time and at night.

Realme 8 Pro vs Xiaomi Poco F3: Display

When it comes to display, the Poco F3 is better because it has 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate enabled. The Poco F3 screen is sharper and brighter.

Realme 8 Pro did try with the Super Amoled panel and the brightness level is also cool. However, it lacks high refresh rate which is a set back for the phone. Especially, in an industry where 90Hz or 120Hz has become a standard.

Overall, the Xiaomi Poco F3 has the best display here.

Chipset/Processor | Gaming | 5G

Xiaomi Poco F3 is a 5G phone. It happens to be the best performer of these two devices. It is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 870 5G chipset which is just an inch behind the Snapdragon 888 chip.

While the Realme 8 Pro is fueled by Snapdragon 720G chipset. A typical midrange SoC. But not close in performance when compared to the Snapdragon 870.

So for gamers and intensive users, the Poco F3 is the right option here.
