Display

These two smartphones have similar display size. A 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD touchscreen. But the Xiaomi Redmi 10 supports 90Hz refresh rate which is not available in the Redmi 9T.

Thus, for a smoother display, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 is better.

Camera

In the area of camera quality, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 is better by miles. It brings 50MP main camera that delivers a better quality image both in daytime and in lowlight condition. The main camera is supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro cam to complete the quad setup. While upfront, there is an 8MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 9T on the other hand, features a 48MP main camera. Joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, it maintains the 8MP selfie camera.

None of these two smartphones are 5G enabled.

Sitting at the helm of the Xiaomi Redmi 10 is the MediaTek helio G88 chipset. Paired with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. While the Redmi 9T is powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with similar RAM and storage size.

When it comes to power management, the Snapdragon 660 chip that powers the Redmi 9T is more efficient. Thanks to the 11nm process used for the SoC.

Software

Software wise, the Redmi 10 runs Android 11 out of the box and will upgrade to Android 12 later in the year. While the Redmi 9T runs Android 10 out of the box and currently eligible for Android 11 upgrade.

The Battery life of the Redmi 9T is stronger. It brings 6,000 mAh with 18W fast charge support. While the Xiaomi Redmi 10 packs a 5,000 mAh capacity with 18W fast charge.

Before buying the Xiaomi Redmi 10, here are the two upgrades. First, the Redmi 10 rear camera is better. Secondly, it brings the 90Hz refresh rate experience. However, when it comes to battery life, the Redmi 9T wins.

So if I’m to score both smartphones by percentage. I’ll score the Redmi 10 (54%) while the Redmi 9T gets (46%)
