Redmi K60 Series launch date and key specs confirmed

Redmi K60 Series launch date: Xiaomi has confirmed via its official Chinese website that the Redmi K60 series will be launched in China on December 27th, 2022. The series will be made up of three phones namely Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E.

As per the poster images shared by the company, the phones will come with a triple rear camera system with OIS, a flat screen, an IR blaster, and a speaker grill at the top which suggests a dual speaker system. The triple rear camera will also include a telephoto lens and the rear panel is carbon-fiber-inspired.

Redmi K60 series launch date

The Redmi K60 phones will be launched globally as POCO phones and as the successor to the Redmi K50 series, the K60 phones are expected to come with improved specifications. There are no official specs leaked by the company yet but below are the expected specifications of the Redmi K60 phones.

Expected Redmi K60 series specifications

The Redmi K60 phones are expected to come with a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with the vanilla and K60E getting an FHD+ resolution while the K60 Pro gets a QHD+ resolution. The displays of all models will be a 120Hz panel and have a centered punch hole on top of the screen for the front camera.

The PRO model is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will be paired with the Adreno 740 GPU and up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The vanilla Redmi K60 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 while the Redmi K60E is said to be powered by a MediaTek chipset.

A 5,500mAh battery will be powering the Redmi K60 and it’ll support 67W wired fast charging and also support 30W wireless charging. As per the camera system, the Redmi K60 will feature a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. While upfront it’ll have a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The PRO model is expected to come with a telephoto lens and to record videos in 8K resolution. Now that the launch date of the phones is a few days away, we hope to see more details about the Redmi K60 series soon.
