Samsung has been rolling out the May 2021 Android security patches to its flagship devices. It started with the Galaxy S21 series, followed by the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, then the Galaxy S20 series, and the Galaxy Note 20 series.
It appears the company has now turned its attention to bringing same security patch to its mid-range Samsung Galaxy A52 series.

A report from SamMobile stated that Samsung is bringing a major update to the Galaxy A52 4G and Galaxy A52 5G. And this new update brings the May 2021 security patches to both phones. The firmware version named A525FXXU2AUE1 is been received by Galaxy A52 users in Ukraine, Russia, Vietnam, and few other Asian countries.
This new firmware brings a new bootload (V2) in tow. Over in Europe, a similar update with firmware version named A526BXXU1AUE1 is been rolled out to Galaxy A52 5G users.

Coming with the May 2021 security patches for the Samsung Galaxy A52 series are; Quick Share improvements, touch screen optimizations, camera performance improvements, and connectivity optimizations.
This update also includes new video call effects to the mid-range devices, which were previously limited to the flagship Galaxy S21 series.

To turn on this video effect feature in your Samsung device after the update, just go to Setting>Advance features and toggle it on.
Just as you might already know, this update won’t be rolled out to everybody immediately. Some users of Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G will get it early, others will get it later. But eventually, all users will get this update.

However, if you can’t for the notification update, then check for it in Software update section under the device settings. Or, if you know how to cut your onions, you can download the firmware package from SamMobile and do a manual flash of the device.
