And interestingly, since the launch of the new S24 series, the S23 Ultra in stores now goes for as low as $800.

2. Galaxy S24 Ultra has a Better Design and Brighter Display
When it comes to their displays, both smartphones share some similarities but different designs. Both devices have an OLED touchscreen with QHD+ resolution, variable 1-120Hz refresh rate, under-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68 water resistance.
However, the panels are different. The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a curved screen design which allows it to join the premium class. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a flat screen. Although the design experience is more of user preference most people will prefer the curved screen design.
But in my case, I’d choose the flat screen design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It feels different from the regular curved screen we know Samsung flagship phones for. Additionally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra screen is anti-reflective. Which further adds to the awesome experience of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

3. Galaxy S24 Ultra has Better Performance
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is faster than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Here are a few things to know: first, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a speedier CPU and better GPU performance than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Secondly, because of the chipset that is powering the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the phone can handle heavy tasks while remaining cool and offering good battery life.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which is 30% faster and offers 20% better efficiency than the Galaxy S23 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
4. Galaxy S24 Ultra is the King of Software
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the king of software. The tech company has promised up to 7 seven years of Android upgrades. Currently, it boots Android 14 out of the box and will be updated to Android 21.
More so, the Galaxy S24 Ultra brings the “Galaxy AI” features which are unique and useful. Some of the features are photo editing, live translation during phone calls, transcriptions, and more. For now, the “Galaxy AI” is limited to the S24 series.
5. Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra has a Better Camera
What Samsung did here was to improve the camera system with AI. There was improvement in the camera hardware too but most importantly, the software enhancement made the S24 Ultra a better camera phone than the S23 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a quad rear camera system of 200MP OIS main + 50MP OIS 5x tele + 10MP OIS 3x tele + 12MP ultrawide lens and upfront is a 12MP selfie snapper. When it comes to zoom capabilities, portrait, videography, etc. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a leap ahead.
At times, the phone seems overly exposed but it’s nothing a software can’t fix. Aside from the overexposure, the camera strength of the S24 Ultra is excellent.
6. Battery Life
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra vs Galaxy S23 Ultra have a similar 5,000 mAh capacity with 45W wired fast charging and a 15W wireless charging system. The battery life is expected to be the same.
