Samsung One UI 5.1 update causing Battery Drain Issues: Samsung has been the only Android phone maker that has been consistent with software updates in recent years. The company recently announced the release of the One UI 5.1 update with the Galaxy S23 series. The Samsung Galaxy S22, S21, Z Fold 3, and Z Fold 4 were among the first Samsung Galaxy phones to get the update.

However, after installing the Samsung One UI 5.1 update, some galaxy phone users are experiencing issues with their smartphones. The reported issues ranged from battery drain to network issues.

New software updates can be quite tricky as it’s a new software in old hardware. Software updates are meant to bring new features and improve device security, and user experience. But, the reverse can be the case if the software does not work well with the old hardware. This is what some Galaxy phone users are currently experiencing after installing the Samsung One UI 5.1 update.

At least one Samsung Galaxy S22 user has reported having a bad experience after installing the One UI 5.1 update. According to the report, the user said his phone sometimes lags and also experience battery-draining issue.

Some users have also experienced other issues like certain features not being available in their Galaxy device after installing One UI 5.1. One user reported that the ability to choose from different colors when setting a new wallpaper has been removed after installing the update.

It appears Samsung is aware of these bugs and is working on a fix. For now, Galaxy phone owners and users are encouraged to reach out to Samsung’s customer service team for help in resolving any issues they may be facing.

What to do as Samsung Work on Fixing the Issues

Samsung is working on a fix for these issues and it’ll likely be available in form of a new update. However, if you have not updated to the One UI 5.1, you should probably wait for a more stable update that fixed these known issues. While for users who already updated to One UI 5.1, keep checking for new updates.
