Since launching the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE earlier this month, Samsung is now rolling out the first software update of the device for those living in the United States. This update is the January security update and some in the Asian markets already started getting it.
Just like every other software updates, the first Galaxy S21 FE update is meant to improve system performance and stability. While fixing some little bugs here and there. The latest software update for the unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US has the firmware version G990U1UEU2BUL8.

In addition to performance and stability, the update includes the January 2022 security patch to help fix lots of privacy and security issues. The update is rolling out on almost all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Tracfone, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE living in the US can check for the new software update in the phone by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware and manually flash the device (but be sure you know what you’re doing and also back up your files first).
