Samsung to bring Android 12 based on One UI 4 beta to Galaxy S20 soon

Few weeks ago, Samsung has been releasing the One UI 4.0 beta update to users of the Galaxy S21 series in various regions. And now that the company has concluded the beta program for that device, it’s planning on releasing the stable version of the One UI 4.0.

But, it seems that Samsung will also be releasing the One UI 4.0 beta program for the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra.

According to an official moderator of the Samsung Members forum, the Samsung is set to open the Android 12-based on One UI 4.0 beta program to the Galaxy S20 series. The report also stated that the firmware update version EUI4 is the last software update based on Android 11 OS that’ll roll out to the Galaxy S20 series.

This means that the company could start recruiting beta testers for the One UI 4.0 update coming to the Galaxy S20 series. We’re expecting the beta program to start before the end of November 2021. Selected markets such as; China, Germany, India, South Korea, the UK, and the US will be eligible for the beta update first.

One UI 4.0 brings lots of new features such as; improved stock apps, more lock screen widgets, new widget designs, an updated widgets selection menu, dedicated quick settings toggles to turn off the camera and mic access, and improved security and privacy. It also comes with redesigned UI and refreshed icons and Material You Themes.
