Sharp Aquos R7 has now been officially announced by the Japanese tech company. The Aquos R7 is the newest 2022 flagship from Sharp. And it comes with a newly improved massive 1” camera sensor co-developed with Leica.
The Sharp Aquos R7 packs a 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 240Hz adaptive refresh rate. Sharp is also flaunting an impressive 2,000 nits peak brightness, 10bit colour support and Dolby Vision. The front and the back are both protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There’s also an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric verification.
There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chip at the wheel of performance on the Sharp Aquos R7. It is paired with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The smartphone will be available in two colours which are: black and silver colours.
In the camera department, the device features a new 47MP main camera with a massive 1” sized sensor that Sharp claims can collect up to 1.8 times more light than last year’s Aquos R6, along with a 1.9MP portrait sensor. While upfront the selfie camera is 12.6MP.
Additionally, the smartphone boots Android 12 out of the box with a 5,000 mAh battery capacity. The phone is IP68 certified and will be available in Japan from July 2022.
Sharp Aquos Wish2 was Announced as well
Tagging along with the flagship Aquos R7 is the Sharp Aquos Wish2. It is a mid-range device that is powered by Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. The smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ LCD and a 3,730 mAh battery capacity. According to the Japanese tech company, the device is made from recycled plastics.
Sharp Aquos Wish2 boots Android 12 out of the box, it is IP68 water and dust resistance rated and boasts a single 13MP main cam around the back and an 8MP selfie cam upfront. Aquos Wish2 comes in white, charcoal, blue and coral colours.
