Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 Specs: Qualcomm has finally announced the full specs of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. This is a 5G SoC that’s targeted to power the next generation of 5G upper mid-range smartphones. Xiaomi and Realme have both confirmed an upcoming device with the chipset. Qualcomm built the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset on 4nm process technology. The CPU has a 1+3+4 architecture. The primary Kryo CPU core is clocked at 2.91GHz and when compared to the CPU of Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, this new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is 50% faster.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 5G chipset supports QHD+ resolution, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 200MP camera. More so, it can capture video up to 4K resolution @60fps. Additionally, there’s support for UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 memory technology.
As for wireless connectivity, the chipset has a built-in 5G modem which supports only sub-6GHz and 5G mmWave networks. Other features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC support.
