Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset to be manufactured by TSMC, according to a new report from popular leakster – Ice Universe. Qualcomm could change hands from Samsung to TSMC for its next flagship mobile chipset. The chipset is expected to debut in the market by the second half of 2022.
Even though the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset has been doing well on smartphones in this first half of the year. However, there have been some unfavorable reports about the chip from some users.
For example, complaining about the Samsung’s made Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, @Diwakar tweeted: “No mate you are wrong in terms of camera but when it comes to battery life it sucks can’t get more than 3.5-4 hrs if you play games even casually the battery takes a tool and heat dissipation is not great in s22,s22+ it’s good in ultra”. This is totally not shocking because in the past there have been reports of the flagship SoC getting overheating issues.
While the recent news about TSMC making the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is yet to be confirmed by both companies (TSMC and Qualcomm), we’ll, however, be on the lookout for you guys to bring the closest and surest update on this matter.
