The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is faster than MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset with up to 18% speed. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power many flagship smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S23 series, vivo X90 Pro+, Xiaomi 13 Series, etc.

According to their highest appearances on the Geekbench website, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 beats the MediaTek Dimensity 9200. Qualcomm’s flagship chipset had 1,485 single-core scores and 4,739 points in the multi-core department. While the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 scored 1,353 single-core points and 4,055 points in multi-core.

When put into comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is faster than the Dimensity 9200 with up to 9% in single-core and 18% in multi-core tests.

Based on its appearance on the Geekbench website, the SD 8 Gen 2 has 8-cores. 1x core with a speed of 3.36GHz, 4x cores with a speed of 2.80GHz, and 3x cores with a speed of 2.02GHz. Similarly, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 has 8-cores but on a lower frequency. The prime core is clocked at 3.05 GHz, the 3x cores have a speed of 2.85 GHz and finally, the 4x cores with a speed of 1.80GHz.
