Foldable smartphones is becoming a thing in the smartphone industry. Samsung is dominating the foldable market right now and we hoped that more companies would compete in 2021.

There were rumors of Google, Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, and Honor releasing a foldable device in 2021. But as the year gradually winds down, we’re carrying our hopes to 2022 to see the competition that the foldable market deserves. Speaking of foldable phones in 2022, new report has it that Oppo Find N 5G would be Oppo’s foldable phone.

This new device will be Oppo’s first foldable smartphone and it’s said to be under the Oppo N-series. Its aid to features a motorized swiveling camera. Popular tipster DCS has leaked some of the specifications of the incoming foldable smartphones.

Oppo Find N 5G Specs (unofficial)

According to DCS on its Weibo account, the Oppo Find N 5G will have same folding pattern as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Its outside screen will have 60 Hz refresh rate, have a center punch hole and feature slightly curved edges.

The inside display will features a 120Hz refresh rate with a punch hole for the camera. It will features a side mounted fingerprint scanner and its front camera will be a 32MP sensor.

At the rear, it’ll come with triple camera setup. The main camera will be 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor. Its rear camera bump is also said to look like those in the Reno 6 Series.

There is no news as to what chipset will power the device yet. But, if the device launch by the end of this year, then it might features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G. While if its delayed till next year, then it might feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

Depending on the release time, the device might run Android 11 or Android 12 out of the box. We expect to see at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage inside. Lastly, the battery might be up to 5,000mAh with support for maybe 67W fast charge.
