How to Submit Your Additional Tax Information as an Individual Living in United States
- Select the Individual option and click Next button
- Click YES from the next page and click Next
- You’ll now start to fill the W-9 form (it’s the form meant for individuals living in USA)
- The next page is for your Profile, make sure your names are correct and choose an ID type (SSN/ITIN). Enter the SSN/ITIN and click next to verify you address.
- In the Address page, you’ll provide Postal code, house address etc.
- Next page is the document preview. Here you’ll you take a quick look at the details you submitted and confirm they are correct. There is also an edit button to make changes if it’s needed.
- Last page is about certification. You have to agree that all the details you provided to Google is accurate and you’ll be held responsible for any misinformation. Write your name as signature and submit the form.
With the simple steps above, you’re done with submitting your tax information as an Individual YouTube creator living in the United States. Next is submitting as a non-individual/entity in the United States.

How to Submit Your Additional Tax Information as a Non-Individual/Entity in United States
- Select the Non-Individual/Entity option and click Next button
- If you have a registered business name in the US, tick the box that appears. Then select if you’re an entity or individual from the new option (if you don’t have a business name then just click the Next button and go to step 3 below).
- Select Yes if you have a business in the US, select No if otherwise.
- For those that selected Yes in step 3, you’ll have to fill the Form W-9
- If you selected No in step 3, you’ll be asked to pick between 4 forms; 1. W-8BEN-E: Use this form if your business is not registered in the US and you want to benefit from the Trade Treaty (if it’s available for your country). 2. W-8ECI: If file US income tax return and you make money from US trades, then use this form. 3. W-8EXP: If you exempted from tax by the US then you can use this form. 4. W-8IMY: Non US partnership, trust or financial intermediary make use of this form. Use any of the form that best fits you and start filling the form using the button on the page.
- In the Address page, you’ll provide Postal code, house/business address etc.
- If you selected the W-8BEN-E form in step 5, you’ll have to go through the Tax Treaty page. For those that selects the W-8ECI form in step 5, you’ll have to provide details of your income type. Those the selected the W-8EXP and W-8IMY form in step 5 will have to provide Qualification statement.
- Next page is the document preview. Here you’ll you take a quick look at the details you submitted and confirm they are correct. There is also an edit button to make changes if it’s needed.
- Next page is about certification. You have to agree that all the details you provided to Google is accurate and you’ll be held responsible for any misinformation. Write your name as signature and submit the form.
- Lastly, you’ll have to sign a sworn an affidavit regarding your activities and services in the United States.

But if you are not from the United States, have no business in the United State, no trade activities in the United States and no trade treaty between your country and the USA, then this is how to fill the form.
How to Submit Your Additional Tax Information as an Individual Living outside United States
- Select the Individual click Next button
- Select No and click Next
- Next page shows two forms, select the W-8BEN and click Start W-8BEN Form
- The next page is for your Profile, make sure your names are correct and your country of origin (you are not expected to have TIN or SSN so click next)
- In the Address page, you’ll provide Postal code, house address etc. and click next
- Now if your country has trade treaty with the US then click Yes and select your country. Else just select No and continue.
- Next page is the document preview. Here you’ll you take a quick look at the details you submitted and confirm they are correct. There is also an edit button to make changes if it’s needed.
- Next page is about certification. You have to agree that all the details you provided to Google is accurate and you’ll be held responsible for any misinformation. Write your name as signature and submit the form.
- Lastly, you’ll have to sign a sworn an affidavit regarding your activities and services in the United States.

If you are a business entity not living within the United States, then you should follow the steps in “How to Submit Your Additional Tax Information as a Non-Individual/Entity in United States” above.
Once properly added, the Additional Tax information won’t bother you anymore. You can focus more on creating content. Note that the notification won’t disappear immediately.
To confirm if the Tax information you added is approved by Google, go to your AdSense Account, Click Payments, Click Settings, and Click Manage Tax Info.
