If you can get past the trust issues above, T Mobile has one of the simplest and easy to under stand prepaid plans. In fact, they have about four prepaid plans ranging from $15 to $60 monthly.

T Mobile Connect

T Mobile connect is a prepaid phone plan that is meant for use within the United States only. It’s starting price is $15 monthly and up to $24 monthly with 2.5GB and 5.5GB high speed data respectively. Good thing is, the taxes and other fees are included.

Another interesting thing is T Mobile will also be giving you additional 500MB when you renew these plans every year for 5 years. The table below shows the pros and cons of this prepaid plan.

T Mobile Connect Pros and Cons
ProsCons
Over all package is cheapOnly 2.5GB or 5.5GB of fast data
Unlimited talk and textNo 5G data available
Stream SD videoNo additional perks
Additional 500MB every year for 5 yearsCan only be used in the United States
Scam Shield protection
Taxes and extra fees included in package

The T Mobile Connect is targeted at connecting you with people living in the United States. Which is why it’s pricing is low and it also offer fewer perks. If you can stick to just domestic calls and you’re not a data hoc, then this plan might help you save lots of bucks on data.

T Mobile Mobile Internet

T Mobile Mobile Internet is a series of 5G data for T-Mobile customers. Since non of the prepaid plans by the company come with 5G access, they designed a separate plan just for 5G data. The minimum data is 500MB which cost $5 to 50GB of 5G data which cost $50.

Below is the list of T Mobile Mobile Internet;

  • 500Mbs of 5G data for $5
  • 2GB of 5G data for $10
  • 5GB of 5G data for $20
  • 10GB of 5G data for $30
  • 30GB of 5G data for $40
  • 50GB of 5G data for $50

If you need that extra 5G experience, you might want to consider buying any of the above Mobile Internet plan from T-Mobile. You must have 5G device and also live in a region with T-Mobile 5G coverage.

T Mobile 10GB

This T Mobile prepaid plan gives you 10GB of fast data and it will cost you $40 monthly to activate this plan. The payment includes tax and extra fees but no 5G and international calls available.

It also provides you with less than 10GB of fast 4G LTE data and during congestion, data speed will drop. The table below shows the pros and cons of this prepaid plan.

T Mobile 10GB Pros and Cons
ProsCons
Scam-blocking protectionOnly 10GB of fast data
Taxes and extra fees included in packageYou might experience slow speed in busy hours
Unlimited talk and textNo 5G data available
Domestic mobile hotspot (10GB)Pay additional fee to include Canada and Mexico
Stream videos in SDNo stateside calling
No international calling

This is not a data plan that will work well for heavy data users. The pricing cuts into pocket a little bit and there is the question for value for money. I mean, T Mobile Essentials can offer unlimited data, 5G access, international calling for an additional $20.

T Mobile Unlimited

The price of this plan is $50 monthly and you get unlimited 4G LTE data, unlimited 3G Domestic Mobile hotspot data etc. While they claim its unlimited, but note that your data speed will slow down after using 50GB of data.

This is not the best deal for prepaid but comparing it to the prepaid plan above, this one is way better. The table below shows the pros and cons of this prepaid plan.

T Mobile Unlimited Pros and Cons
ProsCons
Scam-blocking protectionLess than 50GB of fast data

Unlimited talk and textNo 5G data available

The cons of this plan is as heavy as the pros of this plan. But look at the bright side, you get to save some money with this plan if you don’t actually need to make international calls and you don’t have 5G device.

Getting unlimited talk, text and fast data of about 50GB is quite interesting. And if you ask me, it’s not that bad of a deal. To help you understand this prepaid plan more, please check the pros and cons from the table below.

T Mobile Unlimited Plus Pros and Cons

T Mobile Prepaid Plans Recap

The prepaid plans from T Mobile is actually pretty easy to understand. You get the basics of what you need, decent coverage etc. But, if you need more, you’ll have to pay more for all the extra features. Which makes no sense as these features you’ll be paying are already included in their unlimited plans.

For example, for each of their prepaid plans above, it has not 5G access and no international calling. To include these features, you have to spend $20 ($5 for 5G and $15 for international calling). This means you’ll be paying $60 for the minimum T Mobile prepaid plan.

The above is not a good deal. Reason because, the basic T Mobile Unlimited plan cost $60 and it has so much perks, better fast data cap and more features. Why not just activate the basic unlimited plan instead?

I guess what I’m trying to say is, “i prefer the Unlimited Plans from T Mobile”. And it actually gives you better value for money.
