The phone with the monster battery in the Tecno Mobile phone line up is getting it’s second gen. Yes, Tecno Pova 2 is coming and a new Leak has confirmed some of its key specs.

Thanks to @Maii_HD, we now know how this new Tecno phone will look like, it’s battery capacity, it’s camera, chipset, and more. So, let’s get started with knowing this device.

Preview of the Tecno Pova 2

Pova 2 still retains same build material and similar design of the original Tecno Pova. It come with plastic back, plastic frame and glass front. It also come with a big 6.9-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with standard 60Hz refresh rate.

One area where it’s an upgrade of the it’s predecessor is the camera. The original Pova come with 16MP main camera but Tecno Mobile is bumping it up to 48MP main camera in the Pova 2. That is not all.

Remember most tech analyst complained about the micro USB port of the Pova? (At least @Maii_HD did). Well, Tecno has changed that to USB type-C port in the new Tecno Pova These are changes we love to see.

Under the hood, the smartphone will rock MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. This again is an upgrade of the Helio G80 used in the Tecno Pova. Now the battery.

If you think the 6000mAh battery of the former Tecno Pova is impressive, well the new Tecno Pova is coming with 7000mAh battery. And the phone will also come with 18W fast charge.

You also get to enjoy Android 11 along with HiOS skin software. Maybe it will get Android 12 update maybe it won’t, but we’re sure you’ll get monthly security patch from Tecno.

Fingerprint scanner is side mounted and proximity sensor is also available. There is 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio. Up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with expansion via microSD card.

Price and Availability of the Tecno Pova 2

Tecno Pova 2 is expected to be available in the Philippines in coming weeks. While other regions will get it by June. The price is expected to be between $200-$280.
