From the images released by Google when officially confirming the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, there was no fingerprint scanner spotted at the back. Which means, unlike the Pixel 5, the Pixel lineup won’t be having its fingerprint reader at the rear.
But where is it located then? A new photo leak has shown that the Google Pixel 6 series will come with in-display fingerprint scanners.

A now deleted post by Hiroshi Lockheimer on Twitter from probably the Pixel 6 Pro, the fingerprint scanner icon be clearly seen on the lock screen. For those who don’t know, Hiroshi Lockheimer is a founding member of the Android Team.
This further confirms that Google is really planning to bring its best to the Pixel 6 series. Other official specifications of the phones includes; the Pro model having a 6.7-inch display (120 Hz) with QHD+ resolution – 1,440 x 3,120 px. While The Pixel 6 has a slightly smaller 6.4-inch display (90 Hz) with 1080p+ resolution.

These will be the first phones to use the new Google chip called Tensor. It’ll also be the first Google phones to come with 33W fast charge (you’ll have to buy this as it won’t be shipping with charger inside the box). The Pixel 6 series will also be among the first Android phones to come with Android 12.
There are so many things to look out for when this phones drops. Its camera, the chipset and many more. The Pixel 6 series are expected to be available before the end of the year.
