vivo iQOO Neo 7
The vivo iQOO Neo 7 is an affordable premium smartphone from vivo/iQOO. It is the successor of the vivo iQOO Neo 6 and was launched in China on October 10th, 2022. iQOO Neo 7 features the new Dimensity 9000+ chipset from MediaTek and an impressive 120W wired fast charging solution. To know more about the iQOO Neo 7, allow me to break down the specifications of the device starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.
Chipset, CPU, and GPU
The iQOO Neo 7 features the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ 5G chipset. This 5G chipset is built on a 4nm process technology and features an Octa-core processor. The Dimensity 9000+ 5G chipset has an Octa-core CPU with a maximum speed clocked at 3.2GHz. It has one high-performance Cortex-X2 core with a clock speed of 3.20GHz, three big-efficiency Cortex-A710 cores with a clock speed of 2.85GHz, and four small-efficiency Cortex-A510 cores with a clock speed of 1.80GHz.
The CPU cores are paired with the Arm Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. This chipset is fast and also power efficient because of its fast CPU cores and small fabrication process. The Dimensity 9000+ chipset is paired with vivo’s own custom chipset. So, some graphics tasks will be handled by the custom chipset to allow the Dimensity 9000+ chipset to perform at its optimum best most times.
Other exciting features of this chipset are that it has support for LPDDR5 RAM tech, UFS 3.1 storage, Bluetooth 5.3, and can record videos in 4K resolution. The peak download and upload speeds of this chipset are 9Gbps and 4.5Gbps respectively.

Cameras
iQOO Neo 7 features a triple rear camera and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 50MP primary camera with 1.0µm PDAF, f/1.9 aperture, 24mm focal length, and OIS features. This primary camera is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP front-facing wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The back camera of the iQOO Neo 7 can steady videos in 4K resolution while the front camera can record steady videos in 1080p resolution. Available camera features for photography and videography in this smartphone include LED flash, HDR, panorama, Night mode, Portrait, OIS, gyro-EIS, etc.

Display, Design, and Durability
The vivo iQOO Neo 7 has a 6.78-inches flat AMOLED display. The display resolution is FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels), has support for 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The front screen is flat but the back panel is slightly curved. Its dimension is 164.8 x 76.9 x 8.5 mm or 8.9 mm and it weighs about 197 g / 202 g (6.95 oz).
On the rear, it has a camera module in the top left corner while on the front it has a single punch hole that houses the front camera. Its screen-to-body ratio is 87.6% and it also features a Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). There is however no space for a microSD card slot or a 3.5mm headphone jack port.
The volume rocker and power button of the iQOO Neo 7 are on the right side of the frame of the phone. While its microphone, stereo speaker grill, and USB Type-C charging port are on the bottom of the frame.

RAM, Storage, and Battery
The iQOO Neo 7 comes in various RAM and storage configurations. It has 8GB of RAM + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB storage. As stated above, there is no space for a microSD card hence users can’t expand the storage of this phone.
A 5,000mAh battery powers the vivo iQOO Neo 7 and it has support for 120W wired fast charging. You can charge the battery of this phone using the 120W charger from 0 to 100% in about 17 minutes. But, there is no wireless charging and no reverse wireless charging solution available.

Software and Other Features
The iQOO Neo 7 boots Origin OS Ocean based on Android 13 out of the box. This phone will get at least three years of major software updates and monthly security patches. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA.
Other features available in the iQOO Neo 7 are Fingerprint (under display, optical), Google Assistant, Infrared, NFC, GPS, 24-bit/192kHz audio, Loudpseaker, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, etc.
