Vivo is set to launch its Vivo S12 series in China. And while there have been rumors here and there about the Pro model, the Vanilla model has been under the radar. But, not anymore as China Telecom has listed the Vivo S12 on its website.
The listing revealed some details about the Vivo S12 including its design and key specifications. This is coming out few days before the launch of the device.
China Telecom Reveals Details of Vivo S12
According to the listing on China Telecoms product library, the Vivo S12 will feature a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, FHD+ resolution, and 90Hz refresh rate. It will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chip (same chipset used in the Vivo S11).
It will come with 8GB and 12GB of RAM and offer up to 256GB of internal storage. Software wise, the device might run Android 11 OS out of the box. In the camera department, it’ll come with 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera at the back.
Upfront it’ll feature a dual selfie camera: a 44MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide. Features of the camera might include: OIS, gyro-EIS, PDAF, and 4K recording. A 4,200mAh batter will be powering the device and there is support for 44W fast charging.
Other features include; in-screen fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, stereo speakers but might not come with 3.5mm audio jack.
Price & Availability
The starting price of the Vivo S12 is expected to be $470 (CNY 2,999) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB of storage. While the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model will cost about $525 (CNY 3,339).
Colors of the device as confirmed by Vivo on Weibo are: Warm Gold, Shining Black, and Island Blue. The Vivo S12 series will be announced on December 22 and will be available for purchase shortly after along with the Vivo Watch 2.
