The Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+ are the best foldable phones of last year. But, it seems the company is giving attention not only to the cameras in its foldable phones but also performance. According to a new report, the incoming Vivo X Fold 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
This will make it the first foldable phone to feature this chipset in the world. But there is even more. The report also suggested that the battery in the X Fold 2 will be bigger than what the company used in the X Fold and X Fold+.

A 4,800mAh battery is expected to power the X Fold 2 and this is about 200mAh and 70mAh bigger than the battery in the X Fold and X Fold+ respectively. The report also said that the X Fold 2 will have faster-wired charging.
As per the report, the Vivo X Fold 2 will support 120W wired fast charging – X Fold and X Fold+ supported 66W and 90W respectively. There is no news about the design and cameras of the phone but we expect the company to maintain a similar design and use newer camera sensors.

The vivo X Fold was a great foldable phone but its performance was held back by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Vivo fixed this when it launched the Vivo X Fold+ with a better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and improved the software experience.
Since the last two gen of the Vivo foldable phones were impressive, we expect the incoming vivo X Fold 2 to be even more impressive. As per availability, we can’t confirm if the X Fold 2 will be available outside China. We’ll make more updates available in the weeks ahead.
