Since its release back in July, it’s taking about 2 months for Vivo to launch the Vivo Y53s in Nigeria. And the model that is been launched in Nigeria is the 4G only version that has different chipset inside.
The Vivo Y53s that is available in Nigeria uses a MediaTek chip and supports up to 4G network only. There is a model in India that has Qualcomm chip inside and supports 5G. But, what are the key specifications of this new Vivo phone, how much will it cost in Nigeria and where can you buy it?

Specifications of Vivo Y53s
Vivo Y53s has a 6.58-inc IPS LCD display with standard refresh rate. Its display resolution is FHD+ and a PPI density of 401. The build material of this phone is glass front, plastic back and plastic frame. It is not water or dust resistant which means you should keep it out of water.
Inside Vivo Y53s is the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. This processor has an octa-core CPU speed clocked at 2.0 GHz paired with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Its RAM size is 8GB and its internal storage is 128GB. It also have space for storage expansion via microSD card.
In the camera department, the phone comes with a triple rear camera set up; a 64MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera does not have OIS and can only record 1080p videos.

Upfront, the Vivo Y53s comes with a 16MP selfie camera placed in a cut out notch at the top. It has loudspeakers and 3.5mm jack port. It’s powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charge.
Vivo Y53s also comes with a side mounted fingerprint scanner and it runs Android 11 out of the box along with Funtouch 11.1 skin software.
Price of Vivo Y53s
The official price of the Vivo Y53s in Nigeria is ₦119,000 but depending on your location and exchange rate, the price could be as high as ₦125,000.
