Xiaomi 12S Ultra and 12S Pro beats iPhone 13 Pro Max: Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 series in China just last week and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Pro have been loved by many. Some reviewers in China have had these phones and performed some tests and it seems there is even another reason why users will love the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and 12S Pro and that is the battery life.
A new battery test that is also known as the screen-on-time test (or SoT test) has shown that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Pro have slightly better battery life than the iPhone 13 Pro Max from Apple.

The SoT test also shows that the Xiaomi 12S duo has better battery and performance when compared to other Android smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. This shows that the newly released Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is faster and more efficient when compared to its predecessor.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra vs iPhone 13 Pro Max battery test
According to the SoT or battery test carried out by Geekerwan, the Xiaomi 12S Pro lasts 7 hours and 50 minutes and the 12S Ultra 7 hours and 47 minutes, beating the 7 hours and 42 minutes SoT of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The battery or SoT test was carried out by playing games (Genshin Impact), using social media (TikTok scrolling and WeChat messaging and voice/video calls), web browsing, and video streaming. Each of the tasks performed on the phones lasted for 30 minutes.

Other phones in the test such as the Xiaomi 12 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) and Redmi K50 Pro (Dimensity 9000) lasted for 5 hours 44 minutes and 6 hours 39 minutes respectively.
It is important to note that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a smaller battery size compared to the other phones used for this battery test. But, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is still the most powerful phone in 2022. Another test that was carried out was the 3D wild stress test and the iPhone 13 Pro Max with the Apple A15 Bionic chip won this test.

All these tests were carried out using the Chinese models of these phones and this means there might slight difference using the Global models of these phones. Up until now, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has had the best battery in smartphones but the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Pro just dethroned it in China.
