Xiaomi 12T Pro
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is a 2022 flagship phone from Xiaomi. It is the first commercial phone from the company to feature a 200MP camera sensor to debut outside of China. Xiaomi 12T Pro is the continuation of the Xiaomi 12S series and Xiaomi 12 lineup. But, it’s also slightly different from the Xiaomi 12S series and Xiaomi 12 series.
To know more about the Xiaomi 12T Pro, allow me to break down the specifications of the device starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.
Chipset, CPU, and GPU
The Xiaomi 12T Pro features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This 5G chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. This chipset/SoC features an Octa-core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.19GHz. It has one high-performance Cortex-X2 core with a speed clocked at 3.19GHz, three big-efficiency Cortex-A710 cores with a speed clocked at 2.75GHz, and four small-efficiency Cortex-A510 cores with a speed clocked at 1.80GHz.
This chipset has a total of 8 CPU cores and the CPU is paired with the Adreno 730 GPU. This chipset is not only fast but also power efficient because of its fast CPU cores and small fabrication process. Under intensive use, the chipset can manage heat so well that the Xiaomi 12T Pro doesn’t get excessively hot.
When playing graphics-intensive games, the phone won’t lag or throttle because the chipset can process and render graphics very fast. Other interesting features of this chipset are that it has support for LPDDR5 RAM tech, UFS 3.1 storage, Bluetooth 5.2, and can record videos in 8K resolution. The peak download and upload speeds of this chipset are 10Gbps and 5Gbps respectively.

Cameras
Xiaomi 12T Pro features a triple rear camera and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 200MP primary camera with 0.64µm pixels, f/1.69 aperture, PDAF, and OIS features. This primary camera is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 20MP front-facing camera.
The 200MP primary camera can record steady videos in 8K resolution while the front camera can record steady videos in 1080p resolution. Available camera features for photography and videography are Dual-LED flash, panorama, HDR, portrait, night mode, optical zoom, Auto Focus, OIS, PDAF, gyro-EIS, etc.

Display, Design, and Durability
The display of the Xiaomi 12T Pro is a 6.67-inches 1.5k AMOLED panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is flat, has a 1,220 x 2,712px resolution, and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display has support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and its peak brightness is up to 1000 nits. The front screen is flat and the bezels are relatively slim but the back panel is slightly curved.
Xiaomi 12T Pro is made of a Glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), a plastic frame, and a glass back. It is IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 mins). Its rear camera module is placed in the top left corner while on the front it has a punch hole on top of the screen that houses the selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro has its volume rocker and power button on the right side of the frame of the phone. It has a microphone, speaker grill, and USB Type-C charging port on the bottom frame of the phone. Sadly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack port and no microSD card slot.

RAM, Storage, and Battery
The Xiaomi 12T Pro comes in three RAM and storage configurations but the storage options you’ll get depend on your region. Its storage options are 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. This device has no space for storage expansion via a microSD card slot, so you can’t expand storage. So, you only get to use the available internal storage and cloud storage services if you need more space to store your files.
Powering the Xiaomi 12T Pro is a 5,000mAh non-removable battery with support for a 120W wired fast charge. You can charge the battery of this phone from 0 to 100% in less than 30 minutes. It also has support for wireless fast charging and 10W Reverse wireless charging.

Software and Sensors
The Xiaomi 12T boots MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. This phone will get at least three years of major software updates and four years of monthly security patches. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA.
Xiaomi 12T has an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. It also has support for Face Unlock and has support for Google Assistant. Other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi Direct, etc.
