Part of the reason for the early launch of the Xiaomi 14 this year is the popularity of the Xiaomi 13 series. Another reason for the early launch could also be competition from other Chinese phone makers.

OPPO and vivo are also expected to be their flagship phones in December. So, an early November launch will give the Xiaomi 14 series an edge. According to Xiaomi, the company met the sales target for the Xiaomi 13 series in 9 months last year. An early launch with less competition could mean the company hitting its sales target faster this year.

As with previous Xiaomi flagship phones, the Xiaomi 14 series is expected to be among the first phones to feature the incoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in its event scheduled for October 24.
