Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Redmi Note 12 series soon. This will be the successor to the Redmi Note 11 series released by the company late last year and earlier this year. According to a new report, Xiaomi could launch the new Redmi Note 12 smartphones before the Double 11 shopping festival begins in China.

For those who don’t know, the Double 11 shopping festival is also known as “Singles’ Day” and is the biggest shopping festival in China. This year, the Double 11 shopping festival falls on November 11 and this means the Redmi Note 12 phones could debut by October 2022.
Xiaomi is very popular for releasing the best versions of the Redmi Note series in China and bringing mediocre-performing versions of these phones outside China. Last year, that strategy saw a backslash that led to many users and reviews boycotting the Redmi Note 11 series sold outside China. This forced the company to relaunch the Redmi Note 11 series outside China and later sold the Chinese models outside China.

This year, however, we don’t expect the company to follow the same route as rumors have it that some major improvements especially in the camera are coming with the Redmi note 12 phones. As usual, the Redmi Note 12 lineup will include, the Redmi Note 12 Pro (Pro+ in some regions), Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 5G, and Redmi Note 12S. We might also see a China-exclusive Redmi Note 12T series earlier next year.
Some of the rumored specs of the Redmi Note 12 phones include a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera (the ultra-wide camera might be for only the Pro models). The performance of the phone is said to be fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Going by the rumors so far, the Redmi Note 12 phones will feature a flat 6.67-inches IPS LCD display and will have support for 120W wired fast charging. So far there is very limited information about the phones in the lineup but we expect to see more in the weeks leading to its launch.
