Xiaomi has silently launched the 2022 model of the Redmi 10. This is because the company does not want the sale of this device to affect the sale of the recently released Redmi Note 11 series.

The Redmi 10 (2022) is the successor of the Redmi 10 that was released last year. Phones in this lineup are more budget-friendly but offer good value for money. The Redmi 10 has appeared on the official website of the company in Russia.

Key specs of Redmi 10 (2022)

Redmi 10 (2022) has a 6.5-inch display, FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Inside is the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset with an octa-core CPU and the ARM Mali-G52 GPU. It comes in two versions, 4 +64GB and 4 +128GB. It also has support from a microSD card.

At the rear, it maintains the same 50MP main camera from last year. The main camera is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Redmi 10 (2022) does not have support for 5G connectivity but has a 4G LTE modem, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, NFC, GPS (A-GPS, Galileo, Glonass, and Beidou), a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

For security, there is a face unlock and fingerprint scanner, and the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with an 18W charge support. The phone boot MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The starting price of the Redmi 10 (2022) is yet to be announced but we think it’ll start from $180. And it could cost as high as $230 for the highest model.
