Smartphones displays and screens are getting bigger and bigger. But a new report has suggested that Xiaomi is set to release two mini smartphones by late December or early 2022. This smartphones is said to spot a smaller screen compare to other smartphones.
Xiaomi is not the first company to introduce a mini smartphones. Apple also released its own line up of mini iPhones and its second gen now is the Apple iPhone 13 Mini. So, the Chinese tech giant bringing a compact size smartphone is not surprising at all.

According to GizmoChina, Xiaomi is set to launch two mini smartphones with the model numbers L3 and L3A. Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi also hinted on the possible release of flagship smartphones with small-screen. One of his Weibo post talked about smartphones with small-screen. And he might just be referring to one of the Xiaomi mini smartphones.

There is currently very limited information about the rumored two min smartphones from Xiaomi. From the MIUI code of thee phones, it’s safe to say that they’ll be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip. The report also suggested that the Xiaomi mini smartphone with the model number L3 will spot a 6.3-inch display.

A 6.3-inc display is not mini but regular size display. Other rumors also suggest that this device might a clamshell just like the Galaxy Z Flip 3. But since there is no official report, all we can do is guess for now. We’ll have to wait and get the official statement from Xiaomi regarding its upcoming mini smartphones.
