Apple iPhone SE 2020: Apple is not very popular for releasing cheap mid-range smartphones. But when they do, their mid-range phone comes with basic/advance features found in their flagship smartphones. The newly released Apple iPhone SE 2020 (Apple iPhone SE 2) is a typical example.
The Apple iPhone SE 2020 (Apple iPhone SE 2) is the new mid-range smartphone from Apple. It is arguably one among the cheapest fastest phones in 2020. It comes with same processor used in the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max released in 2019.
Well, we can’t expect this phone to be all we need it to be. But, for its Android counterparts, this phone seems to be ahead in some areas. That been said. Lets talk about this new cheap phone from Apple. What are the features to look out for and what are the initial disappointments. We’ll start from the Build and display of the phone.
Specifications of the Apple iPhone SE 2020
Build and Display
The phone comes with Glass front, glass back, aluminum frame. Its screen size is Retina IPS LCD display type. It still has the big bezer with a screen resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~326 ppi density) with a Ion-strengthened glass, oleophobic coating protector.
It seems it will still take a while for Apple to start using small bezers, punch hole or even the pop up cameras. Well, considering that the phone houses many sensors, we can understand why the big bezers. This design does look old when compared with Android designs though.

Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage
Apple decided to power this new smartphone with the recent Apple SOC. The phone uses the Apple A13 Bionic (7 nm+) which is arguably the fastest SOC in the world. It also uses the Hexa-core (2×2.65 GHz Lightning + 4×1.8 GHz Thunder) CPU and Apple GPU (4-core graphics) GPU for image and games processing.
So far, the phone comes in three variants; 3GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage, 3GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage and 3GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. There is no space for external storage via microSD card which means you have make use of the Internal Storage.
Camera
Apple is still at the top in the camera game. But, things are heating up as Huawei and Samsung are bringing more powerful camera sensors.
The Phone comes with a single 12MP camera at the back. It’s features include HDR, PDAF, OIS and gyro-EIS in video mode. An secondary camera would have been nice but the 12MP should be able to get you good photos. This camera can shoot 4K videos.
Upfront, the phone comes with a 7 megapixel selfie camera. The front camera can not shoot 4K video but has gyro-EIS feature enabled.

Software and Battery
The phone run out of the box iOS 13 which is really good. This phone is powered by a non removable 1821mAh battery with 18W fast charge with wireless charge enabled.
