We know that the company has strong ties with MediaTek. Hence we are expecting the two 5G phones to be powered by a Dimensity 800U series. Although nothing was confirmed by the CEO.

But, bringing a 5G device that is within $250, rs 18,000, can only be possible with that Dimensity 800U chipset from MediaTek. There will be trade offs in display quality, build materials and camera.

This is not to say the display will be bad, but we’ll have to take IPS LCD instead of AMOLED panel. If Infinix Mobile is making a 5G phone then Tecno Mobile is not far behind.

Time and again we’ve seen these two brands own by Transsion Holdings come neck to neck with eachother. So, we won’t be surprised if Tecno also launched their 5G phones almost same time.

The CEO of Infinix Anish Kapoor also said the company will be bringing more smart TV’s (44-55 inches). Which means their focus won’t be just smartphones but smart gadgets as well.

With Kenya been the first country with commercial 5G in Africa, it’s possible these 5G phones from the company will make its way there. While Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt etc might get the device late.

There are so many phones that the company will release by April. Infinix Hot 11 or 12, Infinix Note 10 Pro and others. However, now we can confirm that non of these initial phones will have 5G.
