Google Tensor G3 Specs: The Tensor G3 chip is Google’s latest mobile SoC that’s powering the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The Tensor G3 is the most advanced chipset on any Google device yet. And it brings more for AI and ML than we could ever imagine on a smartphone. Below are the full Google Tensor G3 Specs.
Google Tensor G3 Specs
The Google Tensor G3 chip is built by Samsung. It’s a 5G chipset that is fabricated on a Samsung 4nm process. Compared to the Tensor G2, the new G3 is faster and better.
Google Tensor G3 features a 9-core CPU with four little Cortex-A510s, four Cortex-A715s, and a single Cortex-X3. To be precise, the Tensor G3 will pack a single Cortex-X3 clocked up to 3GHz, four Cortex-A715 that go up to 2.45GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked up to 2.15GHz.
In terms of the GPU, the Tensor G3 uses ARM’s latest GPU design – Immortalis-G715s with 10 cores clocked up to 890MHz. The new hardware is capable of hardware-accelerated ray tracing and can encode and decode 8K up to 30fps in both h.264 and HEVC format.
In terms of RAM and Storage technology, the chipset supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage type. The SoC supports up to multiple 50MP camera sensors and 8K 30fps.
More so, The display supports up to QHD+ resolution, 120Hz, Dolby HDR, etc. As per connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB-C 3.2, sub-6Ghz, and mmWave 5G connectivity.
