The chipset inside the Honor Magic4 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This is a 5G chipset that has an octa-core processor, the Adreno 730 GPU, a new NPU, a new ISP, and new AI chips. The download speed of this chipset is 10Gbps and its upload speed is estimated to be about 4.5Gbps.

The CPU speed is clocked at 3.0GHz and its GPU cores are very powerful. Built on a 4nm process technology, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is said to be 20x better and 30x more heat efficient than its predecessor. This makes the chipset a very powerful chip.

Cameras

Technically, Honor Magic4 Pro comes with a total of six cameras (four at the rear and two up front). At the rear, it has a 50MP main camera that has multi-directional PDAF and Laser AF. Then there is a 64MP telephoto lens that has 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom with the OIS feature enabled. There is also a 50MP ultra-wide camera and lastly a TOF 3D camera as a depth sensor completing the five rear cameras.

Upfront, the device features a 12MP sensor as a selfie camera and a TOF 3D for depth sensor and biometrics. The front camera can shoot videos in 4K and 1080p resolution at 30fps. But it has no stabilization feature when taking photos and making videos.

You can also shoot videos in 4K resolution using the rear cameras. The rear cameras have some good camera features. The telephoto lens has OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. The main 50MP has multi-directional PDAF and Laser AF.

The display of the Honor Magic4 Pro is 6.81-inch, 2K screen or QHD+ resolution, AMOLED panel, with features such as 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Its peak brightness is expected to be 1000 nits.

The display is protected by Aluminosilicate glass and the phone is rated to be water and dust-resistant. With this certified IP68 water and dust resistance, you can take this phone underwater for about 30 minutes.

The front screen is slightly curved on the edges and there is a big punch hole at the top left corner of the phone. The punch hole houses the 12MP front camera and TOF 3D scanner.
