In a bid to come back into the global smartphone market, Honor is making more smartphones. The release of the Honor 50 series is one way the company is starting to make up for times lost.

With the successful launch of the Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and Honor 50 SE, the company is set to release series of affordable 5G smartphones.

According to Digital Chat Station, the incoming Honor device will have Dimensity 700 chipset under the hood. And this rings it below the Honor 50 SE. The device will also come with 6.6-inch display with a punch hole at the top. This center punch hole will house the selfie camera.

It is also tipped that the device will have 22.5W fast charging. The mobile phone will also bring a 64MP main camera along with two other lenses. This is all the info about this device thus far and release date is also unknown for now.

The other affordable 5G smartphones that is expected to be released by Honor are, Honor X20, Honor X20 Pro, and Honor X20 SE. The Pro model is rumored to have 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200, 64MP triple rear camera, and 4,200mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.

Honor to Compete with and Overtake Apple in Premium Smartphone market

The CEO of Honor, Zhao Ming is confident that the brand will do well in the global smartphone market. He believes that Honor devices will be able to compete with Apple and Samsung devices.

The Honor 50 series recently released by the company is equipped with advance camera system, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 100W fast charging for the battery (60W for the base model).

According to Ming, the Honor brands plans to compete with and possibly overtake Apple when it comes to premium smartphones.

Zhao Ming also noted that good expensive smartphones, is not just about the hardware; but also the user interface is of great importance. Which in summary means, Honor plans to focus on both technical specs and software functions of their premium smartphones.
