Motorola Edge X30 has bigger display which is good for movie watching and playing of games. By big it has 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED with smoother 144 Hz refresh rate support. The maximum brightness level is 700 nits which is poor for a flagship device. It Supports HDR10+ contents.
Xiaomi 12 on the other hand is a very compact device. This is not as big as the Xiaomi 12 Pro. But despite it’s small size, the display quality is top notch. It has 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED with 120 Hz refresh rate enabled. The screen brightness can max up to 1100 nits which is 2x brighter than Motorola Edge X30. It Supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
Camera
The Motorola Edge X30 has triple rear camera setup. A 50MP OIS main camera, alongside a 50MP lens for an ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor. Upfront it has a 60MP for selfie camera. The front and back cameras can shoot video in 4k resolution.
In comparison to Xiaomi 12’s camera, it brings 50 MP OIS primary cam, supported by 13 MP ultrawide and 5MP tele macro lens. Upfront is 32MP selfie.

These two devices are offer value for money. They both have their strength and weaknesses. For example, the Motorola Edge X30 is better in segments such as: smoother screen, bigger display, and more affordable.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 has a better software experience, the rear camera is better and it’s display quality is top notch.
So if I’m to score both smartphones by percentage. I’ll score the Motorola Edge X30 (48.5%) while the Xiaomi 12 gets (51.5%).
