OnePlus 10 Pro won’t have support for 80W fast charge in the US

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 10 Pro in China in January and now the company is planning to bring it to the global market. Just like the China version, the global OnePlus 10 Pro will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. This means you can expect the same level of fast and smooth performance with its hardware and software.

But according to OnePlus, the phone won’t be getting an 80W fast charge solution in the US (North America). According to the company in its forum, the global version of the OnePlus 10 Pro will have support for 80W wired charging just like the models launched in China.

The 80W fast charge can fill the 5,000 mAh battery inside the phone from 1% to 100% in 32 minutes. But, these speeds will be limited to the OnePlus 10 Pro that’ll be launched in Europe and India as far as international markets are concerned.

The company also confirmed that the OnePlus 10 Pro that’ll launch in the US and other North American countries will only have support for a 65W charge solution.

OnePlus explained that the “80W SUPERVOOC does not currently support 110 or 120-volt AC power – the typical standard for power outlets in the US and North America.” But the OnePlus 10 Pro will also have support for the same 50W wireless charge.

A 65W fast charge will take a slightly longer time to fill the 5,000mAh battery and as other features remain the same, we don’t think there will be much difference in the price. The global launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro is slated for March 31 and we expect to get more updates then.
