Rumor: Apple Set To Release New and Cheaper iPhone in Mid-March

Apple is set to release a new iPhone which is to be cheaper than the recently iPhone 11 series. The new iPhone will be the successor to the iPhone SE from 2016. We are yet to know what name it will be called, iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2. Either way, there have been lots of leaks, rumors, anticipation and speculations about this incoming iPhone in recent months.

But every single rumor have hinted that the new iPhone 9 will be announced in the first quarter of 2020. There is still no known official specifications yet and no actual official photos of this new iPhone is seen yet.

However, according to renowned leakster Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks, Apple is set to unveil the new iPhone in mid-March. There’s been some confusion as to the naming, it’s either going to be iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2. Either way, a CAD-based renders of the handset have already been released.

There have been two different rumors as to how the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 will look like. The first suggested that the iPhone 9 as a device that looks like the iPhone 8, complete with huge bezels and a physical home button. While the second rumor suggested that there will be Face ID on board. We’ll see which way Apple chose to go, definitively, in a little over a month.

While we await the official release of its features, the iPhone 9 is said to have same chipset as those in iPhone 11, the A13 Bionic chipset. It will also cruise a 3GB of RAM with a 64GB or 128GB internal storage along with a single rear camera.

The rumored colors is, space gray, silver and red. Its starting price is rumored to be around $399 which us cheap compare to the iPhone 11 series. If the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 does come with same chipset as the iPhone 11, then users might just have a taste of the flagship at a cheaper price.
