Tecno Camon 15 Pro vs Infinix S5 Pro: Just when we thought Infinix Mobile would bring the pop selfie phone long before Tecno Mobile, Tecno decided to launch it’s own pop up selfie camera just almost same time as Infinix.

It’s a good thing that both Infinix and Tecno are keeping up with latest trends and technology. And the fact that they manage to also keep the phone cheap is truly incredible. Truth be told, Tecno Camon 15 Pro and the Infinix S5 Pro are not the first pop up selfie camera smartphones. But, they are arguably the cheapest.

Network Connectivity

One of the many reasons why people buy phone is to access the internet. And everyone loves it when they can download and upload files at top speed. Well both phone provide users 2G, 3G and 4G internet connectivity. What this means is that you should expect same performance from both phones when it comes to internet connectivity.

There is pretty no much of a debate in this category. Both phone is expected to run out of the box Android 10. They also have same chipset, so when it comes to internet connectivity of both phones, they should preform almost at same speed.

Build, Design and Display

Both phone will have same build quality. That is, they’ll have front glass, plastic back and plastic frame. Literally speaking, both phones have same design. Aside from the different brand names at the back of both phones, it’s nearly impossible to distinguish between them from their designs.

A 6.53 inches display for both phones makes them look almost like identical twins. Hey, that is okay too. I mean, it’s better to be friends with your rival than become enemies.
Both the Infinix S5 Pro and Tecno Camon 15 Pro comes with similar PPI density, resolution and even same display IPS LCD type. Their finger print sensor is rear mounted etc. These two phones look more alike in design than you can imagine.

Operating System and Chipset

The Tecno Camon 15 Pro and Infinix S5 Pro will be running out of the box Android 10 along with their respective UI software. This means that we can expect same performance but app icons, navigation and other layouts may be different due to different user interface (UI).

In this chipset category, both phones is expected to use the MediaTek Helio P35. It’s finally time for both Tecno and Infinix to give the MediaTek Helio P22 and A22 a breathing space. This is good though as the MediaTek Helio P35 is a more recent and better chipset.

So far, one can easily spot that the comparison of Tecno Camon 15 Pro vs Infinix S5 Pro actually have more in common. There is actually more similarities than differences. But hey let’s examine the internal storage, RAM, camera and battery to see if there is any difference.

Internal Storage and RAM

For the first time in this comparison article, we are going to see an actual difference between both phones. Tecno Camon 15 Pro comes with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Infinix S5 Pro on the other hand comes with a 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal storage which is quite less when compared with it’s counterpart. Both phones does have space for external storage via microSD card.

With the option for microSD card available in both, i think both phones are okay in terms of storage. I mean, its not every time we get to fill 32GB internal storage not to mention filling a 64GB easily.

Camera

We can’t really call this a complete comparison without talking about the cameras of both phones. Well, both phones offers a quad rear camera with 48MP as main shooter. Up front, Infinix S5 Pro comes with a 16MP pop up selfie camera while the Camon 15 Pro comes with a 32MP pop up selfie camera. Megapixel in camera does not always determine the quality of photos. Battery

Both phones comes with a 4000mAh battery with no fast charge or wireless charge enabled for either phones. But the Camon 15 pro is coming with what Tecno calls the Safe Charge. We’ll know what that truly means once the phone is in our hands for review.

Prices

The Tecno Camon 15 pro is expected to cost about N67,500 Naira while the Infinix S5 pro cost about N63,500. This phone is currently in the Indian market but yet to be available in Nigeria and other Asia countries.
