Google Pixel 5: Build and Display

The phone is coming with AMOLED display type of size 5.8 inch which is pretty small going by most screen size recently. Comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection which is good. It comes with a dot in display that houses the front camera.

When it comes to it’s build materials, it has a plastic back, glass front and a plastic frame. Well, given that the Pixel 5 is seen as Google flagship device, it should have come with a better build material (a glass back and an aluminum frame would have been better).

Google Pixel 5: Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage

Google poweres their phones with a Qualcomm SOC. And the Pixel 5 is powered by the Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G (7 nm). This is the second best chipset from Qualcomm used by many mobile phone manufacturers for their mid-range phones.

Seems only Google can get away with using a mid-range chipset to power their flagship device.

There is an Octa-core (1×2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime & 1×2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver) CPU and Adreno 620 GPU present. The CPU and GPU are great and should be able to play heavy games without much hassles.

So far, the phone is expected to come in single variant of, 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage. The RAM size is just okay even though the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM. There is no space for microSD card.

Google Pixel 5: Camera

Talk about best camera phones and the list won’t be complete without a Google Pixel phone (for the past few years).

This phone is expected to have a single 12.2 MP rear camera. Pixel 5 has dual rear camera, a 12.2MP + 8MP ultrawide. These two cameras are capable for taking all the shots your need.

Upfront, the phone might come with an 8MP placed in a punch hole at the top left of the screen. Which makes the phone looks very pretty good.

Google Pixel 5: Software and Battery

The phone run out of the box Android 10 which is really good. Pixel 5 is powered by a non removable 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charge feature enabled but no wireless charge enabled.
