Before we go in deep on this, we want you to quickly subscribe to our YouTube Community to watch video comparisons, unboxing and reviews of smartphones.

Now its time for us to start the comparison proper. And we are starting from the network connectivity of both phones.

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Network Connectivity

OnePlus Nord is having 5G network connection which is a feature that is not available in the iPhone SE 2020. But, given the current status of 5G network in most countries, this doesn’t really strike as an advantage to the Nord.

Most people can buy the Nord without having to use the 5G feature. Simply put, the 4G network connectivity available in both phones will be utilized more than that extra 5G feature.

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Build, Design and Display

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Operating System and Chipset

iPhone SE 2020 runs on Apple iOS 13 while the OnePlus Nord runs on Android 10 and both Operating system are smooth and secure. OS is not really our problem here, Android or iOS both are great OS. But, the SOC is pretty what you might want to see.

When it comes to the chipset that runs the operations of these phones, it gets really interesting considering the price of both phones. Here is what we mean.

iPhone SE 2020 uses the Apple A13 Bionic (7 nm+) while the Nord uses Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G (8 nm). The chipset used in the iPhone SE 2 is about 60% faster than the one used in the OnePlus Nord. it’s crazy right?

Apple A13 Bionic (7 nm+) is same SOC used for the Apple iPhone 11 series and even the almighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 struggled to compete with it. So you can understand why the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G of the Nord is way behind.

Only Apple will be bold enough to use a flagship chip to power a premium mid-range smartphone.

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Internal Storage and RAM

The iPhone SE 2 comes with 3GB RAM and 64/128/256GB Internal Storage which is good. OnePlus Nord comes with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB Internal Storage. Both phones have no options for external storage and guess you won’t be needing it anyways.

Sometimes there is power in numbers and when it comes to RAM, the bigger the better. While the iPhone SE 2 might have a software that help makes it run smooth, you’ll still prefer having a larger RAM.

It is important that Apple cuts some features to make the phone affordable. But adding a little RAM would have been good. Even the Google Pixel 4A comes with a bigger RAM.

It’s time we talk about camera quality of these phones.

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Camera

That was our expectations too but the 12MP of the iPhone SE 2 leveled up and even possibly outclassed the 64MP of the OnePlus Nord thanks to Apple camera software.

Upfront, the Nord comes with a 32 + 8MP dual selfie camera while the iPhone SE 2 comes with a single 7MP camera. Both phones can record 4K videos, have gyro-EIS and OIS features enabled.

When it comes to camera, the quality of the photos from the iPhone SE 2020 is better than those of the OnePlus Nord. It’s not like the photos from the Nord is very bad but that of the iPhone SE 2 is too good for the Nord.

OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE 2020 Prices

The starting price of the iPhone SE 2020 is about $400, 144,000 Naira while the starting price of the OnePlus Nord is $468, 181,000 Naira.

As you can see, the iPhone SE 2 is a more affordable phone between these two. Well, its decision time and its time for you to make a pick between these two phones. But below is our conclusion about these phones.

Given the value it brings and that the Apple phone is more compact, the iPhone SE 2020 is the better phone to buy from this comparison. It is a better phone in almost all areas.

You get a better camera, more durable build materials and faster processing with it’s chipset.

Buying the iPhone SE 2 instead of the OnePlus Nord will help you save about $68 which a good bargain given that the Apple phone is even a better phone here.

This is not to say in anyway that the OnePlus Nord is a bad phone. It’s recent design, dual selfie camera and colorful display are also good features.

But, the iPhone is in a class of it’s own and the Nord does not even come close. For the price, it’s better to buy the iPhone SE 2.
