The Pixel 8 Pro is coming with a new chipset that is made by Google, a new Android OS, and some new specifications. Google Pixel 8 Pro Specifications

The Google Pixel 8 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display. This display supports a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10+ and has a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The display has the Always-on display feature and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The front screen is slightly curved and it has a punch hole on the top center. For performance, the Pixel 8 Pro will feature the Google Tensor G3 5G chipset under the hood. This is a 5G chipset that has a Nine-core CPU and the Immortalis-G715s MC10 GPU.

The chipset will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. There is no microSD card slot or a 3.5 mm headphone jack port. As per the camera system, the Pixel 8 Pro has the same camera sensors as the ones found in the Pixel 7 Pro.

It has a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP telephoto camera that can do 5x optical zoom, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10.8MP front camera. The front and back cameras can record videos in 4K resolutions. Other camera features of the Pixel 8 Pro are multi-directional PDAF, Laser AF, OIS, Dual-LED flash, Pixel Shift, Auto-HDR, panorama, gyro-EIS, OIS, 5x optical zoom, and 10-bit HDR.

Google Pixel 8 Pro packs a 4,950mAh battery and it has support for 24W wired charging, 12W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. It boots Android 14 out of the box and will get up to five years of software updates.

The price of the Google Pixel 8 Pro starts at $899 for the base model with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage. The model with 12 + 256GB is sold for about $999.

Google will launch the Pixel 8 Pro on October 4, 2023. After the launch, pre-orders will start and shipment of the phone is expected to begin by the third week of October.
