The Huawei Pocket S features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset. This chipset is built on a 6nm process technology and features an Octa-core processor. The Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset has an Octa-core CPU with a maximum speed clocked at2.4GHz. It has four Kryo 670 power cores with a clock speed of 2.4GHz and four Kryo 670 efficiency cores with a speed of 1.80GHz.

The Huawei Pocket S has a 6.9-inches Foldable OLED display when it’s unfolded and it has a 1.04-inches cover display that shows notifications and a clock. The 6.9-inches display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1B colors. The peak brightness of the display is 800 nits and its bezels are noticeable. As per the design, the front screen is flat and has a center punch hole on the top screen. And on the rear, it has two circular modules.

One of the circles or rings is home to the dual rear camera and LED flash while the other ring is the 1.04-inches cover display. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the frame of the phone. While its microphone, loudspeaker grill, and USB Type-C charging port are on the bottom of the frame. It supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and has NM (Nano Memory), up to 256GB (uses shared SIM slot). But it has no support for a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Huawei Pocket S comes in three storage configurations. It has an 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 8GB + 512GB storage version. There is a microSD card slot hence users can expand the storage of this phone via a microSD card if the internal storage is full.

A 4,000mAh battery powers the Huawei Pocket S and it has support for 40W wired fast charging. Charging the 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 100% will take about 20 minutes using the 40W wired fast charger. The phone can also reverse charge at 5W.
