The more budget friendly Apple iPhone SE 2020 that was released featured a 4.7-inch LCD display with big bezels at the top and bottom. The next third gen which is expected to hit the market by 2022 is also rumored to have same design. But will come with better chipset, cameras, and 5G connectivity.
However, according to concept creator apple lap’s, the 2023 model of this iPhone SE will receive a design overhaul.

Top of the change rumor to be coming with iPhone SE 2023 is a bigger 6.1-inch display with a hole-punch selfie camera. There is a big bottom bezel in the iPhone SE 2020. This is because it does not make use of Face ID but Touch ID for biometrics which is placed on a Home button.
Including a Face ID means the iPhone will be more expensive. And we all know that the iPhone SE models is targeted at users who need affordable Apple iPhones. This is why the 2023 iPhone SE is unlikely to come with Face ID.

Although it is tipped to retain the Touch ID, but it seems it will be placed on the power button just like what Apple did with the 2020 iPad Air.
The new concept images suggest that Apple might place the speaker to the top edge to help reduce the size of the bezel. It also suggest that it might have squared off edges like the iPhone 12.
