The Apple M3 Max is the latest chipset released by the Cupertino-based tech company. It powers the new MacBook Pro 2023.

Early Geekbench 6 benchmarks have shown that the Apple M3 Max performance is as fast as the M2 Ultra Chip. So far, the highest multi-core score for the M3 Max with a 16-core CPU is 21,084, and the single-core score is around 3,000.
In contrast, the M2 Ultra chip that is powering the Mac Pro and Mac Studio scores around 2,800 single-core and 21,000 multi-core.

But why is this a big deal? Well, it is, because instead of spending more to buy the Mac Studio or Mac Pro, you can buy the M3 Max MacBook Pro at a cheaper price and have a similar CPU performance.
