iQOO 12 Pro Specifications

Display and Design

The vivo iQOO 12 Pro has a 6.78-inch E7 AMOLED display of 1440 x 3200px resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Its display panel is an LTPO AMOLED panel that can auto-refresh. The display of the phone has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and has features such as HDR10+, Dolby Vision, etc.

The front screen is made of Gorilla Glass and it has a glass back and its frame is made of aluminum. It has a punch hole on the screen that houses the selfie camera and a square rear camera module in the top left corner.

Chipset and Performance

The performance of the iQOO 12 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm. This is a 5G chipset that has octa-core processors with one prime core, five performance cores, and two efficiency cores.

The prime core of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is the ARM Cortex-X4 with a speed of 3.3GHz. It also has five performance Cortex-A720 cores with a speed of 3.2GHz and two efficiency Cortex-A520 cores with a speed of 2.3GHz.

The processor in the iQOO 12 Pro is paired with the Adreno 750 GPU, a new ISP, and a new Neural Engine (AI engine). The chipset supports fast LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Camera: Photography and Video

iQOO 12 Pro has three rear cameras and a single front camera. The smartphone has a 50MP primary camera, a 64MP telephoto camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front camera.

The primary camera has dual-pixel PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS features. The 64MP telephoto supports 3x optical zoom and the ultra-wide camera has an AF feature. The 16MP front camera can not record videos in 4K but the back cameras can.

The iQOO 12 Pro boots the Android 14 software based on vivo’s new OriginOS out of the box. vivo has promised at least three years of major software updates for the iQOO 12 Pro. The OriginOS allows for customization of the UI and also makes the UX of the phone good.

Battery and Charging Features

The battery inside the iQOO 12 Pro is a 5,100mAh battery with 120W wired. It supports 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. You can charge the battery of the iQOO 12 Pro from 0 to 100% in about 25 minutes using the 120W charger. The charger comes in the box including a SIM card ejector and use manual.

The primary security of the iQOO 12 Pro is the under-display optical fingerprint scanner. It also supports security systems like pattern, PIN, password, and Face Unlock. Available sensors include accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, barometer, color spectrum, etc.

iQOO 12 Pro Price and Release Date

The iQOO 12 Pro price starts at CNY 4,999 (€642/$899) for the 16/256GB base model, goes up to CNY 5,499 (€707/$999) for the 16/512GB model, and tops out at CNY 5,999 (€770/$1099) for the 16GB/1TB model.
