The Day 1 of the Snapdragon Summit came with lots of news and surprises. One of the talking points of the day 1 was the announcement about three newly released chipsets by QUALCOMM, the Snapdragon 865, 765 and 765G. All the newly released Mobile Platform support 5G and advance AI.
Towards the conclusion of the Day 1 event, more surprises came in. The rumor about the Xiaomi Mi 10 to be packed by the new Mobile Platform was confirmed. It was on display that Xiaomi Mi 10 will be the first smartphone of 2020 to use the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform which is meant for flagship devices.

Just when we thought the surprise was over, Nokia also jumped in on the act and made some interesting announcement. Juho Sarvikas who is the chief product officer for Nokia Mobile said that come 2020, Nokia phones will make use of the Snapdragon 765 Mobile Platform.
This means that Nokia will be using the new Snapdragon 765 for its mid-range devices which are affordable. With this new development, one could expect that the mobile phone space in 2020 is going to be a very tough and interesting one.

With Xiaomi producing a flagship phone that uses a fully 5G supported Mobile Platform and Nokia producing a mid-range device that uses a fully 5G supported Mobile Platform, its just a matter of time before other phone companies jump in. The Samsung S11 is also said to make use of the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform.
All the above phones are expected to hit the market by the first quarter (Q1) of 2020. Other interesting highlight from the Day 1 of the Snapdragon summit include; the speed test of 4G and 5G, talks about the first 103 MP camera smartphone (Xiaomi mi 10) etc.
