The OnePlus 8 is the new high end smartphone from OnePlus. It is the non pro version released by OnePlus in the OnePlus 8 series released in 2020. Some of its features were reduced to put a difference between the pro and non pro version. But, its still a pretty nice phone that even makes you question the iPhone 11 existence.
It is true that this phone won’t even measure up to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra or the Huawei P40 Pro Plus. But, when compared with the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Apple iPhone 11 then its game on. The more interesting part of all this is that you are actually buying this phone at a far cheaper price.

Build and Display
The phone comes with Glass front (Gorilla Glass), glass back (Gorilla Glass), aluminum frame. Its screen size is 6.55 Fluid AMOLED display type with a punch hole display at the top left. It also has a very small bezer and comes with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~402 ppi density) with a Corning Gorilla Glass protector.

OnePlus decided to power this new smartphone with the recent Qualcomm SOC. The phone uses the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) which is very popular for its many powers. It also uses the Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 585) CPU and Adreno 650 GPU for image and games processing.
So far, the phone comes in two variants; 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. There is no space for external storage via microSD card which means you have make use of the Internal Storage.
Camera
OnePlus phones are pretty good when it comes to camera. although they don’t always come with high megapixel sensors but they always come with cool camera features and can take good photos.
At the back, the phone comes with a 48 megapixel main shooter, 16 megapixel ultrawide and 2 megapixel macro Camera. The rear cameras are placed linearly at the back of the phone.
Upfront, the comes with a 16 megapixel selfie camera placed in a punch hole at the top left. Cameras at the rear is capable of shooting 4K videos, has OIS, gyro-EIS and other features enabled.

The phone run out of the box Android 10 along with OnePlus latest software the OxygenOS 10.0 which is really good. This phone is powered by a non removable 4300mAh battery with 30W fast charge but no wireless charge enabled. Charging the phone should not be much of a problem.
