It appears OPPO has launched the long awaited OPPO A16 and it has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. This device also had a cut out notch that houses the 8MP selfie camera.
At the rear, the phone has a triple rear camera with 13MP as main camera, a 2PM macro, and 2MP monochrome. The thickness of the OPPO A16 is about 8.4mm, it weighs about 190 grams, and it had a glossy shiny back cover.
The chipset inside this device is the Helio G35 from MediaTek. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with support for storage expansion via microSD. OPPO A16 runs Android 11 out of the box along with the ColorOS 11.1.
You also have a 5,000mAh battery that powers the device through a USB type-C port. Other features of the OPPO A16 are, FM Radio, side mounted fingerprint scanner, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
You’ll see the OPPO A16 smartphone in the following colours: Pearl Blue, Space Silver, and Crystal Black. It’s price is about IDR 1,999,000 ($139 / €114) and it’s now available for purchase in Indonesia via online retailers.
Maybe it might make its way to other markets such as Europe and Africa. But for now, there is no news as to if the OPPO A16 will be available in other markets.
