The reason is that anything the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max can do the Redmi Note 9s can do as well.

Buying the Note 9s, you buy quality and also save some extra funds which is a nice bargain. Why spend extra $52, N20,000 to get the Pro Max version while you can save that said amount without compromising quality.

Holding the Note 9s and Note 9 Pro max side by side, one can not tell the difference. So, i advice you to buy the Redmi Note 9s and save some money. But then again, if you have the money why not, buy the Redmi Note 9 pro Max and enjoy that extra camera and RAM features.
